1. The short version
Marigold is built to be private. We do not collect your data. There is no account to create, no analytics or tracking, and no ads. Your health records live on your device and sync only through your own Apple iCloud, which we cannot access. We never see, store, sell, or share your information.
2. What Marigold is
Marigold is a private companion for perimenopause and menopause. You can log periods and flow, hot flashes and night sweats, symptoms with severity, mood, and HRT; see an honest on-device cycle forecast and gentle insights; use calming activities for the hard moments; and export a clean summary to share with your doctor.
3. Information you enter, and where it lives
- Your health records — periods, hot flashes and night sweats, symptoms and severity, daily mood, notes, HRT medications and doses, appointments, and any "good things" or entries you add in the calming activities.
- This information is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. It does not pass through HaloSync servers. We have no copy of it.
4. Optional features you choose to turn on
Some features connect to other services. They are off until you enable them, and they run directly from your device — not through us.
- Apple Health (HealthKit): if you allow it, Marigold reads your sleep, resting heart rate, wrist temperature and menstrual-cycle data to sharpen your forecasts. This HealthKit data is read only to show patterns in the app, stays on your device and iCloud, and is never used for advertising or marketing, shared with third parties, or sold. Marigold does not write anything back to Health.
- Weather heads-up & location: if weather is available, Marigold uses your approximate location on your device to request the local forecast from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service, so it can warn you when heat may trigger hot flashes. Only the coordinates needed for the forecast are sent; your location is not stored by us, linked to your identity, or used for tracking.
- Reminders: HRT dose, refill and appointment reminders, and any daily nudge, are scheduled as local notifications on your device.
- Apple Watch & widgets: the Home Screen widget, Apple Watch app and complication show your own data from your device; nothing is sent to us.
- Siri & Shortcuts: quick-log phrases run on your device and write to your local records.
5. Purchases & subscriptions
Marigold Premium unlocks the full app after a free trial, as an auto-renewable annual subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID — we never receive or see your card or payment details. Your free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; you can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple provides us only anonymized purchase confirmation as described in Apple's terms.
6. What we do not do
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your health data to our servers.
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we serve no ads.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.
7. Security
Marigold relies on iOS data protection for on-device storage, the device Keychain for any sensitive values, and Apple's encryption for iCloud sync. Because your data stays in your own device and iCloud, you remain in control of it.
8. Your control & data deletion
You can view, edit, export (as a PDF summary), or delete any record inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes the on-device data, and you can remove the iCloud copy from your Apple ID settings. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Questions? Email contact@halosyncs.com.
9. Children
Marigold is a general-audience consumer app intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. International
HaloSync Global is based in Canada. Your health data is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud on Apple's infrastructure; optional integrations you enable communicate directly between your device and the service you chose.
11. Not a medical service
Marigold helps you track and understand your own patterns and share them with a clinician. It is not a medical or diagnostic device, it does not diagnose, and it never recommends starting, stopping, or dosing any medication. Decisions about treatment belong with you and your clinician; always seek professional advice about any health concern.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy; we will post the new date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
