PawVitals — Privacy Policy

PawVitals ("PawVitals", "we", "us", "our") is a product of HaloSync Global, a registered business (sole proprietorship) in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how PawVitals handles information. By using PawVitals you agree to this Policy.

1. The short version

PawVitals is built to be private. We do not collect your data. There is no account to create, no analytics or tracking, and no ads. Your pet's records live on your device and sync only through your own Apple iCloud, which we cannot access. We never see, store, sell, or share your information.

2. What PawVitals is

PawVitals helps you care for a dog or cat with a chronic condition or the everyday needs of old age. You can log medications, blood glucose and insulin, weight, symptoms, seizures, appointments and photos, see plain-language insights, and export a summary to share with your veterinarian.

3. Information you enter, and where it lives

• Your pet's records — pet profiles, glucose and insulin, medications, weight, symptoms, seizures, quality-of-life scores, appointments, caregiver names, and photos you add.
• This information is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your private iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. It does not pass through HaloSync servers. We have no copy of it.

4. Optional features you choose to turn on

Some features connect to other services. They are off until you enable them, and they run directly from your device — not through us.

• Apple Health (HealthKit): if you allow it, PawVitals reads your walking workouts to log your dog's activity. This HealthKit data is used only to show and record activity in the app, stays on your device and iCloud, and is never used for advertising or marketing, shared with third parties, or sold.
• Apple Calendar: if you allow it, PawVitals can add the vet appointments you create to your calendar on your device.
• Weather & walk planner: if you use the walk planner, PawVitals uses your approximate location on your device to request the local forecast from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service. Only the coordinates needed for the forecast are sent; your location is not stored by us, linked to your identity, or used for tracking.
• Connected devices (CGM via Nightscout, Sure Petcare, FitBark, Bluetooth scales/meters): if you connect one, PawVitals talks directly from your device to that service using credentials you provide. Those credentials are kept in your device's secure Keychain and are never sent to HaloSync. Readings pulled in are saved with your pet's records.
• Reminders: medication, appointment and celebration reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device.

5. Purchases

PawVitals Plus is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never receive or see your card or payment details. Apple provides us only anonymized purchase confirmation as described in Apple's terms.

6. What we do not do

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your pet's data to our servers.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we serve no ads.
• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, ever.

7. Security

PawVitals relies on iOS data protection for on-device storage, the device Keychain for any credentials you enter, and Apple's encryption for iCloud sync. Because your data stays in your own device and iCloud, you remain in control of it.

8. Your control & data deletion

You can view, edit, export (as a PDF or backup file), or delete any record inside the app at any time. Deleting a pet removes its records; deleting the app removes the on-device data, and you can remove the iCloud copy from your Apple ID settings. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Questions? Email contact@halosyncs.com.

9. Children

PawVitals is a general-audience consumer app and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International

HaloSync Global is based in Canada. Your pet's data is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud on Apple's infrastructure; optional integrations you enable communicate directly between your device and the service you chose.

11. Not a veterinary service

PawVitals helps you track and share your pet's health. It is not a veterinary or diagnostic tool and never recommends medication doses. Always follow your veterinarian's guidance and contact them about any health concern.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy; we will post the new date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
