ContractPro Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

ContractPro ("ContractPro", "we", "us", "our") is a product of HaloSync Global, a registered business (sole proprietorship) in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how ContractPro handles information. By using ContractPro you agree to this Policy.

The short version. There is no ContractPro account, no ads, and no analytics or tracking. Your clients, jobs, estimates, invoices, photos, signatures and expenses stay on your device. We run no server that receives them, so we never see, store, sell or share them.

1. What ContractPro is

ContractPro is an iPhone and iPad app for independent contractors and tradespeople. You use it to keep clients and jobs, build estimates and invoices, attach job photos, track time and expenses, and produce PDFs to send to your customers.

2. No account and no ContractPro server

You never create an account with us and you never give us an email address or password to use the app. ContractPro does not send your business records to us. The app does not contain advertising, analytics or tracking code, and it does not include third-party SDKs that collect data about you.

3. What you enter, and where it lives

Everything you enter is stored on your device, inside the app. That includes:

None of this is transmitted to HaloSync Global.

4. Photos and receipt scanning

When you add a photo, ContractPro uses the standard iOS photo picker. You choose which photos to share with the app, and ContractPro receives only those. It does not browse your photo library. Scanning a receipt to fill in an item is done on your device using Apple's Vision text recognition. The photo and the recognised text are not sent to us or to any external service.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

ContractPro is free to use. ContractPro Premium is offered as an auto-renewing yearly subscription and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account using StoreKit. We never receive or see your card or payment details. The app asks Apple only whether you hold an active entitlement, and it keeps a local on/off flag on your device so that features unlock without a network request. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your device's Settings under your Apple Account. The lifetime purchase is one-time and does not renew.

6. Payment details, void cheque and Scan to pay

In Premium (Settings, then Get Paid) you can enter your own payment link (for example from Stripe, PayPal or Venmo), optional payment instructions as free text (for example e-Transfer or bank details), and an optional void cheque image. The link is checked and cleaned up, so "venmo.com/x" becomes https://venmo.com/x, and anything that does not look like a web link is never printed or shared. These features are Premium only: a free user cannot add or print them, even if values were restored from a backup.

ContractPro prints the link as a tappable link on your invoice PDFs, together with a "Scan to pay" QR code with the ContractPro hammer in the middle. Scanning it opens your payment link in the browser. It can also include the link in a payment request message that you share. If you switch it on, the void cheque is printed as an extra last page, "Direct deposit details", on invoices you share (never on estimates).

ContractPro does not process payments, does not contact your payment provider, and never sees or handles money. Your customer pays through the link you provided, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

7. What leaves your device, and only when you choose

Documents and files leave the app only when you use the iOS share sheet or a similar action, and you choose where they go:

Once you send or save a file, it is outside ContractPro. The app or service you share it with, and the person who receives it, handle it under their own policies. You can also import a backup file you previously created to restore records. Restoring adds what is missing and does not duplicate or delete the records already in the app.

8. Reminders

If you turn on payment reminders (Premium), ContractPro asks iOS for permission to send notifications. Reminders for due and overdue invoices are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are not pushed from a server, and the invoice details in them are not sent anywhere.

9. iCloud and device backups

ContractPro has no server of its own and does not offer sync between devices. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may include the app's data in your device backup, depending on your own iCloud settings. Your void cheque image file is excluded from that backup. That backup is held by Apple in your iCloud account under Apple's terms, and we cannot access it. You can change this in your device's iCloud settings.

10. Protecting your data when the app updates

Before each app update, ContractPro copies its database files (your clients, jobs, estimates, invoices and payments; not your void cheque image) into a folder named PreUpdateBackups inside the app's private storage on your device, and keeps the three most recent copies. This folder is excluded from iCloud and device backups. If the app cannot open its data, it shows a recovery screen instead of starting empty and deleting nothing. On that screen you can choose to share a copy of your data files, for example by email to support. That only happens when you tap it, and the files go where you send them.

11. What we do not do

Separately, Apple may give developers aggregated, non-identifying App Store statistics, and crash reports from people who chose to share diagnostics with developers. Those come from Apple, not from the app, and they do not identify you to us.

12. Your choices, access and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you already hold it and control it. You can edit or delete any client, job, estimate, invoice, expense or template inside the app. Deleting a job asks you to confirm, names what will be removed, and asks for an extra typed confirmation if payments are recorded on it. It deletes the job's estimate, invoices and time entries; expenses logged on that job are kept and unlinked. Deleting the ContractPro app from your device removes the data it stores on that device, including its safety copies. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete or send you on request. If you have questions about your rights under laws such as PIPEDA, GDPR or CCPA, write to us and we will answer.

13. Security

Your records are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are protected by iOS and your device passcode or biometrics. ContractPro does not add its own app lock, so keep your device locked. Exports, backup files and PDFs you create are as secure as the place you save or send them. No security measure is perfect.

14. Children

ContractPro is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

15. International

HaloSync Global is based in Canada. Your records are stored on your own device, so they are not moved across borders by us.

16. Not legal, tax or financial advice

ContractPro helps you prepare estimates and invoices. Tax rates and totals depend on what you enter, and you are responsible for confirming the correct rate and requirements for your area. A signature captured in the app is a drawn image on a PDF. Whether it is binding depends on your local law and contract, so speak to a qualified professional if you need certainty.

17. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post the new date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on the App Store listing.
