ContractPro Support

Updated: October 8, 2026

ContractPro is an iPhone and iPad app for independent contractors. It lets you keep clients and jobs, build estimates and invoices, add job photos, track time and expenses, and send professional PDFs. If something is not working, or you want to ask whether ContractPro can do a thing, write to us. A person reads every message.

Email:
We are a small team and reply as soon as we can, usually within a few business days. We do not offer a guaranteed response time.

Before you write

It helps if you include your iPhone or iPad model, your iOS version, the ContractPro version (Settings, then About), and what you expected to happen. Please do not send client details, payment links, passwords or backup files. We do not need them, and your records stay on your device.

Common questions

What is free, and what is Premium?

Free: clients, jobs, job photos, time tracking, unlimited estimates and invoices, PDFs, deposits and partial payments with a balance due, saved item templates, duplicating an invoice, and a full backup and restore of your own data. Premium adds: client signature approval on your phone, your payment link and instructions on invoices, your logo and no "Made with ContractPro" footer, payment reminders, receipt scanning, expenses and mileage, the business dashboard and CSV export for your accountant. The price for your country is shown on the Premium screen in the app.

How do I buy Premium?

Open Settings in the app and tap Upgrade to Premium, or tap any locked feature. You can choose a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple handles the payment through your Apple Account.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Sign in to the same Apple Account you bought with, install ContractPro, open the Premium screen (Settings, then Upgrade to Premium) and tap Restore Purchases. If it says no purchase was found, check that you are signed in to the right Apple Account.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, choose ContractPro and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period. The lifetime purchase is one-time and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.

Can I get a refund?

Apple processes all purchases, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong in the app, tell us too, because we want to fix it.

How do I back up my data and restore it?

Backup is free. Go to Settings, then Data & Backup. Save a full backup (.json) to create a file and open the iOS share sheet, so you can save it to Files, AirDrop it or store it wherever you like. Restore from Backup reads a file you saved earlier.

The backup holds your clients, jobs and photos, estimates, invoices and their photos, line items, deposits and payments, time entries, materials, expenses and mileage, saved templates, client signatures, and your business profile, including your payment link and payment instructions. It does not include your void cheque image, so add it again in Settings after moving to a new phone. Restoring never duplicates records that are already in the app and never deletes anything. The file is plain, unencrypted JSON and may contain client details and signatures, so keep it somewhere safe. For your accountant, Premium adds Export to CSV.

How do deposits and partial payments work?

Open an invoice and tap Record Payment / Deposit. Each payment is added to the invoice's ledger and the balance due is updated. This is free. It only records what you were paid; ContractPro never collects money itself.

What happens if the app says my data could not be opened?

Do not delete the app. The recovery screen means ContractPro stopped on purpose instead of starting empty. Nothing has been deleted or changed. Tap Try again first. If it still does not open, tap Contact support and use Share a copy of my data files to send us a copy, or write to contact@halosyncs.com. Before each update the app also keeps safety copies on your device; restoring from them is something we do with you, so please contact support instead of trying it yourself.

How do I get paid? Does ContractPro take payments?

No. ContractPro never processes or touches payments. It only helps your customer find your own payment details. Your customer pays through your provider or your bank, and the money goes to you under their terms and fees. ContractPro does not mark an invoice paid by itself. Use Record Payment / Deposit when you have been paid.

Premium only. A free account cannot add or print these, even if they were restored from a backup.

Why was my payment link rejected?

The field shows "This does not look like a web link" when the text is not a normal web address, for example it has spaces, no dot in the name (like "venmo"), or does not start with http or https. Check for typos and paste the full link from your provider. A link that does not look like a web link is never printed on a PDF, turned into a QR code or shared. Zelle and e-Transfer usually have no web link, so put those details in payment instructions instead.

What if my client cannot scan the QR code?

They can tap the link printed under the QR code on the PDF, or copy it and open it in their browser. If they are reading a paper copy, they can type the link in or use any payment instructions you added.

How do I remove my void cheque?

Open Settings, find Direct deposit: void cheque and tap Remove, then confirm. The image is deleted from your phone and invoices will no longer include the cheque page. If you only want to stop printing it, switch off "Print void cheque on invoices" instead.

Is my void cheque safe?

It stays on your phone. It is stored as its own file, it is not in the backup file you can save from the app, and it is excluded from iCloud backup of the app's files. It is printed only when the "Print void cheque on invoices" switch is on and you share an invoice PDF. Once you share that PDF, the person who receives it has the cheque details, so only share it with clients you trust, and switch the toggle off when you do not need it. A void cheque shows your account details, so treat it like any banking document. This is a Premium feature.

How do I send an estimate or invoice as a PDF?

Open the estimate or invoice and tap Generate & Share PDF (on an invoice you can also tap Share Invoice PDF). The iOS share sheet opens, so you can send it by Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, AirDrop or save it to Files. The PDF is created on your phone and goes only where you send it.

Why does "Made with ContractPro" appear at the bottom of my PDFs?

Free PDFs carry a small "Made with ContractPro" credit in the footer. Premium removes it and lets you add your own logo at the top. Set both in Settings, under Branding.

How do client signatures work?

Signatures are captured on your phone or iPad. With Premium, open an estimate, tap Sign & Approve, hand the device to your client, and have them type their name and sign with a finger. The signature is saved in that estimate on your device and appears on the PDF. Once signed, the estimate is locked: to change it you must first tap Revoke approval, which returns it to Draft. The signature is not sent anywhere unless you share the PDF.

How do payment reminders work?

Reminders are on your phone. With Premium, turn on Payment Reminders in Settings and allow notifications when iOS asks. For each unpaid invoice that has a due date, ContractPro schedules a notification at 9 AM on the due date and a follow-up three days later. If you do not get them, check that notifications are allowed for ContractPro in iOS Settings, and that the invoice has a due date and is not marked paid.

Which devices does it run on?

ContractPro runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS or iPadOS 26.5 or later), in portrait or landscape and in Split View. It also runs on the outer display of the iPhone Duo.

How do I delete my data?

Your data is on your device, and we hold none of it. You can delete any client, job, estimate, invoice, expense or template inside the app. When you delete a job, the app asks you to confirm and lists exactly what will go: the job, its estimate, its invoices and its time entries. Expenses logged on the job are kept. If payments are recorded on the job, you must also type a confirmation word before it is deleted, because it removes those payments from your revenue and tax reports. Deleting the ContractPro app removes everything it stores on that device, including its safety copies. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may keep an older copy in your device backup until it is replaced, which you can manage in iOS Settings under your name, then iCloud.

Terms of use
